Samsung 300U1A-A01 Specs. Its 11.6-inch Intel Core i3 configuration allows it to compete with the popular ultraportables like the Apple MacBook Air 11-inch (Thunderbolt) and the Editor’s Choice Toshiba Portege P50X-R835. And while the highly regarded Princeton Samsung offers a compact chassis with advanced parts are missing an important ingredient to build a mobile device battery life.

Design
The 300U1A-A01 measures 10.9 by 1.04 of 7.9 inches (DRC), and weighs 2.69 pounds. It is lighter than some netbooks, and much lighter than 4 pounds of dm3t HP Pavilion or 3.2 pounds Toshiba R835-P50X. It is, however, a shade heavier than the aptly named 2.32 pounds 11 inch Apple MacBook Air.
The 11.6-inch screen can not be great, but 1366 by 768 is indeed very high for a screen this size. Video will play in 720p if you play files from a USB drive or streaming movies on Netflix. If you want to enjoy music or video on 300U1A-A01, I strongly suggest using headphones. The 300U1A-A01 has a Chiclet keyboard style with black matte finish buttons.

Characteristic
The A01 has 300U1A-based decent offering three USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, multi-format (SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC), and VGA and HDMI.
Samsung covers 300U1A-A01 with a one year warranty, but Staples also offers an extended warranty protection plan that covers two years of the laptop against the defective parts to wear, and provide free repair and even a free replacement screen.
Performance
The 300U1A-A01 is equipped with a 1.3 GHz Intel Core i3-2357M processor and 4 GB of RAM. In our Cinebench test R11.5 processor speed, the 300U1A-A01 scored 1.27 points, far from the scores of the Toshiba R835-P50X (2.04) and Acer Aspire AS3830TG (2.57), but it always comes ahead of the 1.12 points scored by the dm3t HP.
The integrated Intel Graphics HD 3000 solution is good, but does not quite match the 3D performance we saw with systems equipped with Nvidia GeForce, and even against other systems with integrated graphics i3 heart that the performance is lacking. In 3DMark06, the Samsung scored 3258 points to 1024 by 768 resolution settings of 1686 and 1366 points to his maternal 768, Toshiba Portege R835-P50X also uses the integrated Intel graphics, but he scored 4550 points and 4104 points respectively . Compared to a game-ready, equipped with Nvidia system, such as the Acer Aspire 6431-AS3830TG (who scored 9255 points and 7877 points), there is simply no contest. The Samsung 300U1A-A01 was also unable to perform either Crysis or Lost Planet 2, our two sets of tests. If you need graphics and gaming performance in a package of 11 inches, you will need a design system such as the Acer Aspire M11Xr3 or Alienware.
In MobileMark 2007 battery-life tests, the Samsung 300U1A-A01 lasted 3 hours 38 minutes to fully charge completely dead. Although it was similar in the time of the Apple MacBook Air 11-inch, which lasted 3:41, he was far behind the 8 hours and 9 times produced by other portable computers, such as Alienware (8:03) M11Xr3, Acer Aspire 6431-AS3830TG (8:18), HP Pavilion dm3t (8:26), and the Toshiba Portege R835-P50X (9:26). If your first concern is the battery life and performance you’d better pass on the Samsung 300U1A-A01 and take a look at a laptop more powerful, as the editors choice “Toshiba Portege R835-P50X.
