A teenage girl - Bella - moves to Forks Washington to animate with her father when her mother gets remarried. Upon arriving in Forks, Bella learns about a mysterious house of very beautiful masses. When she meets one of the 5 children - Edward - she finds herself spinning into a mind boggling tale of one of the deepest and scariest loves. even when she finds out what Edward truly is, she still takes risk after risk so that she can stay with her vampire sweetheart.
The film fills in all of the book’s holes. We are introduced to the rogue vampires in the first act of the film instead of in the last fifth of the book. A scene where Edward saves Bella from a bunch of boys is awkwardly insinuated to be an attempted rape in the book but is a bit more up front in the film. The film makes Cullen a bit more believable as a seventeen year old.
